« Winter in Aurora: What to expect | Plains Conservation Center: The Native Colorado »

Before you make the move to Aurora or surrounding areas you’re going to have a few things to consider. Colorado is different than other parts of the world and that’s a good thing! But it can also mean some unique moving challenges.
Double Check Utilities: You may want to start by looking up things like “internet service providers in my area” and checking on energy – the last thing you want is to show up to your new house and the heat not be on!
Talk to Movers: Depending on what time of year you’re moving, there may be snow here in Aurora. Talk to your moving company about their snow procedures and make sure your moving vehicles are ready to break out the snow chains and get to their final destination.
Get in Touch With Schools: If you’ve got kids you’re going to want to talk to their schools well before the move. Make sure their old records can transfer and get them registered for Colorado classes so you won’t have to stress over the first weekend you’re here.
